Robert provided critical insights and support to Pipedream Laboratories in their effort to deploy a small-freight underground robotic delivery system in Austin, TX.  Pipedream, the world’s leader in underground robotic systems has developed a prototype initial system serving their branded Goods Grocery facility.  Pipedream completed successful initial deliveries from their product warehouse to their customer kiosks.  Pipedream is currently seeking their next round of funding before full launch of their system in Austin.

Robert and SMART Infrastructure Advisors supported Pipedream through the initial launch process:

• Connecting Pipedream with key leadership at the City of Austin (City Manager’s Office; City Council and Mayor’s offices; and with City Legal, Transportation and Economic Development Departments)
• Connecting Pipedream with key leadership within TXDOT, at both the local Austin District and the Office of Innovation within the Administration
• Advising on design procurement strategies, including introduction to local Austin design firms
• Writing and advising on public-relations strategies for formal engagement with the surrounding community
• Advising on City and State policies and procedures in preparation for negotiations for access to City and State rights-of-ways.
